Stephanie Brown

I’ve always had a penchant for design. From decorating my childhood bedrooms to spending hours in the art studio in high school to studying at a theatre conservatory in New York City — creativity has always been my language.

My creative career began in NYC as an actor, but I eventually opened my own floral design studio in Brooklyn, where my work was featured in Martha Stewart Weddings and other prominent wedding publications. In 2018, my family and I moved to Austin to raise our two boys. While renovating our South Austin home, I quickly realized I had found my next calling.

My ability to bring clients’ dreams to life now extends beyond flowers to interiors, where I design homes that feel personal, layered, and full of warmth.

Melanie Arguello

I’m the steady force behind the scenes, the balance of structure, intuition, and care that keeps Saint Louise Design running seamlessly. Like my sister, I began my career studying musical theatre in NYC before moving to California, where my natural drive and people skills led me into commercial real estate. There, I built a thriving career leasing multi-million dollar retail spaces, mastering client services, project flow, and the art of bringing vision into reality.

After relocating to Austin in 2021 with my husband and our two boys, I joined Saint Louise Design, where my organization, caring spirit, and attention to detail ensure every project runs seamlessly. I am the calm in the creative storm and the heartbeat of the studio.

  • At this time, we focus on whole home remodel, and full furnishing projects where we can thoughtfully manage every detail. We have a two room minimum, which allows us to create cohesive, lasting designs that truly transform your home. We’ve found this approach delivers the best results for our clients and ensures every space feels intentional and complete.

  • We maintain a list of trusted general contractors we’ve worked with and are happy to recommend to our clients. Ultimately, the right fit depends on your comfort level and project scope, but we can guide you through the interview and selection process once our design services are engaged. Our goal is to ensure a seamless, collaborative experience from start to finish.

  •  If you are building from the ground up, the ideal time to bring on an interior design firm is at the same time you hire your architect. This early collaboration allows us to design intentionally from the inside out, ensuring every detail — from space planning and lighting to material selections and millwork — aligns seamlessly with the architectural vision.

    If you are planning a remodel in your existing home, we recommend engaging your designer as early as possible. Thoughtful design takes time, and accurate construction bids from general contractors depend on having complete and detailed design plans in place. Early involvement helps streamline decisions, prevent costly revisions, and ensure your home feels cohesive, purposeful, and beautifully executed.

  • Our fee structure depends on the size and scope of each project, whether furnishings, renovation, or new build. During our discovery call, we will discuss your goals and outline our process. After the in-home consultation, we provide a flat fee proposal tailored to your project, with project management billed at a monthly retainer. Unlike many firms, we do not bill hourly, which ensures clarity, transparency, and confidence in your total investment from the start.

  • We do not extend our trade pricing directly to clients. However, our long-standing relationships with wholesale vendors allow us to offer pricing that is often competitive with IMAP (the lowest price listed online).
